Home Chef in Bedford Park, IL is seeking a Shift Manager to lead the 1st shift from 6:00 AM to 4:00 PM with Tuesdays and Wednesdays off. The role involves creating shift-level production plans, coordinating with Supervisors across departments, and ensuring safety and food safety standards are met.

Responsibilities include driving production targets, leading cross-functional huddles, managing downtime, and coaching supervisors.

Qualifications

• Completion of a four-year degree program in a related field OR equivalent level of experience in operations.
• Minimum of 3 years of successful managerial leadership experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with Excel, ERP systems, and mobile technology.

Responsibilities

• Create shift-level production plans based on the weekly plan and attendance.
• Communicate shift goals to supervisors and adjust plans to address quality, shorts, or staffing.
• Minimize downtime by monitoring production activities and proactively solving issues.
• Track progress against plan and ensure targets are met.
• Coordinate cross-department huddles and share shift plans with FSQA and Warehouse.
• Oversee safety, on-time shipments, and food safety compliance.
• Provide coaching and feedback to supervisors and leads; discipline as needed.
• Lead safety investigations and ensure proper incident reporting.
