Job summary

Lake Air Products is seeking a 1st shift Mechanical Assembler at our Roseville, MN site. You will prepare parts, read blueprints, assemble components and verify specifications while maintaining inventory and safety standards.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, 1+ years in mechanical assembly, ability to lift and stand for long periods, and experience with hand/power tools. We offer competitive pay, full benefits, and tuition reimbursement.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ years of varied manufacturing experience in Mechanical Assembly.
• Bend and lift, loading and unloading workpieces onto pallets, and move from one workstation to another, alternately sitting and standing.
• Perform repetitive work more than 9 hours per day.
• Ability to quickly learn new blueprints and perform all necessary measurements.
• Hand/power tool skills (Drill, Adjustable Wrenches, Pliers, Hammers, screwdrivers, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Prepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists, gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
• Organizes parts and subassemblies for an efficient assembly process.
• Verifies specifications by measuring completed components/products.
• Resolves assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications; and notifying supervisor to obtain additional resources.
• Maintains supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; and verifying receipt of supplies.
