Job summary

NextDeavor is seeking a Mechanical Assembler to build and test mechanical products on-site during the 1st shift (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, Monday–Friday). You will use hand and power tools, read blueprints, and support lean initiatives while meeting quality and delivery goals.

Responsibilities include assembling and testing with accuracy, recording test data, interpreting engineering documents, and performing finishing tasks.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Hands-on experience as a mechanical assembler or similar production role.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and blueprints.
• Comfortable using torque wrenches, calipers, micrometers, power and hand tools.
• Experience with precision measurements and documenting torque values.
• Able to stand for most of the shift and lift up to 25 lbs.
• Willingness to work 1st Shift and be open to overtime or weekend shifts if needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic assembly and test functions using hand and power tools, mechanical/electronic tools, test equipment, and assembly fixtures
• Record test results on data forms and operate basic electrical equipment and flow meters
• Interpret blueprints, engineering orders, assembly routes, test specifications, and quality directives
• Produce and inspect assemblies to customer and industry standards
• Perform touch-up or full surface painting and related finishing tasks as needed
• Participate in lean initiatives by identifying improvement opportunities
• Maintain a foreign object damage (FOD) free work area and follow safety rules

Become a Key Player as a Mechanical Assembler

You will assemble and test mechanical products to meet customer quality and on-time delivery goals, supporting production and quality stakeholders. Pay Range

$16.00 - $20.00/hour
