Job summary

Lake Air Products is seeking a 1st shift welder to join our Roseville, MN facility. If you have TIG experience and enjoy hands-on manufacturing, this role offers the chance to contribute to medical and aerospace projects.

Responsibilities include layout, welding, inspections, and applying metallurgy knowledge to meet specifications. Requires 7+ years welding experience and the ability to read blueprints, with PPE in use daily.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in TIG, MIG, and Tack-weld (TIG welding preferred).
• Reading blueprints and performing all necessary measurements.
• Excellent people skills, with an ability to partner with a dynamic leadership team.

Responsibilities

• Lay out, position, and secure parts and assemblies according to specifications, using straightedge, combination square, calipers, and ruler
• Observe tests on welded surfaces, such as hydrostatic, x-ray, and dimension tolerance
• Develops templates or tooling and other work aids to hold and align parts.
• Determines required equipment and welding methods, applying knowledge of metallurgy, geometry, and welding techniques.
• Examining finished products and spare parts and comparing them with samples to check whether the specifications are met.
• Inspects grooves, angles, or gap allowances, using measuring instruments
• Welding metal, such as fusing metal segments, using gas tungsten arc, metal arc, flux-cored arc, plasma arc, and other types of welding arcs
