Job summary

Lake Air Products is hiring a welder for our Roseville, MN location. The role requires TIG, MIG, and Tack-weld experience and offers a 1st shift. You will lay out and secure parts, inspect welded surfaces, and develop tooling to hold assemblies.

Strong candidates will read blueprints, perform precise measurements, and weld in flat, vertical, or overhead positions. We value integrity and teamwork within a fast-growing contract manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 7+ years of experience in TIG, MIG, and Tack-weld (TIG welding preferred).
• Ability to weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions.
• Ability to read blueprints and perform measurements.

Responsibilities

• Lay out, position, and secure parts and assemblies per specifications using straightedge and calipers.
• Observe tests on welded surfaces, such as hydrostatic, x-ray, and dimension tolerance.
• Develop templates or tooling and other aids to hold and align parts.
• Determine equipment and welding methods using metallurgy, geometry, and welding techniques.
• Examine finished products and spare parts against samples to ensure specs are met.
• Inspect grooves, angles, or gaps using measuring instruments.
• Weld metal segments using GTAW, GMAW, FCAW, and plasma arc welding methods.
