Job summary

Oetiker is seeking a Maintenance Technician to maintain and repair production equipment across multiple systems. You will work to minimize downtime, ensure a safe work environment, and uphold best practices for reliability.

The role requires PLC repair experience and knowledge of pneumatics and electrical systems. The first shift runs 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, Monday through Friday, at our Town of Lancaster facility in New York.

Qualifications

• Experience repairing PLC-controlled equipment in manufacturing environments.
• Proficient in pneumatics, hydraulics, and basic electrical systems.
• Forklift and scissor lift certifications are required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Repairs mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic components on production machines.
• Troubleshoots automated equipment and initiates repairs.
• Adjusts electrical sensors for proper operation of assembly machines.
• Performs preventative maintenance and cleanings on special runs.
• Performs machine changeovers and replaces tooling as needed.
• Opens/closes facility and handles startup/shutdown of equipment.
• Reads and interprets manuals, drawings and schematics.
