Job summary

Royston Plant is seeking a Maintenance Tech for 1st shift in a manufacturing environment in Jasper, GA. You will repair and maintain equipment, troubleshoot issues, and perform preventive maintenance across facilities.

The role requires reading blueprints, PLC knowledge, and strong mechanical/electrical skills. Candidates should be able to work overtime and collaborate cross-functionally to keep the production schedule on track.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; AS degree or advanced technical training/certifications.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings.
• Knowledge of electrical systems.
• Electronic troubleshooting.
• Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) knowledge.
• Mechanical repair skills; millwright experience.
• Hydraulic and pneumatic systems knowledge.
• Bench tools proficiency.
• Independent motivation and goal-oriented teamwork.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Must follow safety requirements for operating equipment.
• Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance with minimal supervision.
• Design and troubleshoot PLC logic for machine control functions.
• Fabricate and/or repair electrical/electronic equipment from drawings.
• Support Lean initiatives (5S, Six Sigma, Kaizen, ACPs).
• Install, maintain, calibrate, and repair fabrication equipment.
• Maintain production rate and meet production schedule with effective cross-department communication.
• Cross-train other employees.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
