Job summary

Woodward Inc. is hiring a Machinist II for 1st shift in Niles, IL. You will set up and operate CNC Lathe, CNC Mill/Turn, and CNC OD/ID Grinder to produce precision parts. The role requires adhering to documentation, inspecting parts with gauges, and maintaining records per procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2-5 years' related experience.
• Knowledge of inspection techniques and use of micrometers, gauges, and calipers.
• CNC programming/machining knowledge including reading, editing basic programs.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC Lathe, CNC Mill/Turn, and CNC OD/ID Grinder.
• Complete paperwork and maintain records per procedures.
• Document nonconforming material and participate in root cause and corrective actions.
• Use work instructions, setup sheets and gauging to inspect parts.
• Obtain certifications as required for processes.
