Pratt Industries is seeking a Production Operator to safely operate and set up production machines, perform cleanup, and suggest improvements to meet customer demand. The role emphasizes safety, quality, and adherence to GMPs in a fast-paced packaging environment.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, with 6 months of manufacturing experience preferred. Lift Truck Operator License may be required, and willingness to train across machine types is desired.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Prior work experience in the packaging industry preferred.
• 6 months’ experience in manufacturing operations.
• Ability to read and follow instructions.
• May be required to maintain a current Lift Truck Operator License.

Responsibilities

• Operate production machines safely, including setup, operation, cleanup, and recommending improvements to operations to meet customer demand.
• Follow GMPs (Good Manufacturing Processes) and Pratt Industries safety rules.
• Help prevent poor quality by stopping defects and ensuring quality data is accurate.
• Maximize equipment utilization and reduce downtime; address mechanical concerns and report to supervision.
• Maintain housekeeping and ensure clean, hazard-free work areas.
• Train and assist coworkers with machine duties, downtime, setup, and quality.
• Cross-train on other machines and learn other plant positions.
• Complete required reports such as Production Data, Machine Status, Safety Data, and Quality Data.
• Turn in maintenance work orders for repairs; participate in proactive maintenance and housekeeping.
