Job summary

CBRE Building Engineer role in Redmond, WA requires hands-on maintenance of mechanical, electrical, plumbing and HVAC systems. You will support preventive maintenance, repairs, and safety compliance on-site in a dynamic, tech-focused environment.

Qualifications

• HVAC/R experience including preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and repair.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 4–5 years of job-related experience; combination considered.
• Ability to meet physical requirements including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and lifting 50 lbs+.
• Universal CFC certification preferred; licenses as required by local/state jurisdictions.
• Prior shift management or supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs to mechanical, plumbing, structural, electrical, fire life safety, and control systems.
• Follow safety, codes, and company policies for operations and hazardous materials.
• Maintain energy management programs; ensure systems operate efficiently.
• Assist with preventive maintenance programs to extend equipment life and perform emergency repairs as needed.
• Review building systems including fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing for proper operation.
• Share knowledge across disciplines and coach teammates as needed.
• Lead by example and support CBRE RISE values in daily work.
