Job summary

Calqulate in Cedarburg, WI is seeking a Furnace Melt Operator for a 1st shift in a high-pressure aluminum die-casting environment. You will operate and maintain industrial melting furnaces, charge ingots and scrap, skim molten metal, and pull lab samples to ensure alloy quality.

This direct-hire role offers stable daytime hours and competitive hourly pay. The ideal candidate has 2+ years in a foundry or heavy manufacturing melt environment, strong mechanical and math skills, and a valid US work

Qualifications

• Demonstrated career stability with at least 2+ years at each previous employer.
• Foundry or melt operations background in heavy manufacturing required.
• Mechanical aptitude and basic math proficiency for weighing/counting materials.
• Must reside within a 45-minute commute of Cedarburg, WI area.
• High School Diploma or GED; US work authorization without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Operate and charge industrial melting furnaces with ingot, sows, and scrap per melt specs.
• Tap furnaces and skim impurities while maintaining temperature and cleanliness.
• Pull and label liquid metal samples for lab analysis and alloy verification.
• Perform basic furnace maintenance on furnaces, burner wells, and transfer equipment.
• Operate forklifts and overhead hoists to move ingots, sows, containers, and products.
• Record material quantities on daily production logs and maintain attendance/quality records.
• Follow OSHA safety rules, Lockout/Tagout, PPE, and 5S organization.
