Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a Fire Truck Assembler for a contract role based in Sioux Falls, SD. You will install final truck components to convert a chassis into a ready emergency vehicle.

Ideal candidates bring hands-on experience with hand and power tools, the ability to read blueprints and measurements, and a commitment to quality. You will work with a team to meet safety and schedule goals.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
• Experience with hand and power tools.
• Ability to read tape measurements and follow detailed instructions.
• Manufacturing, assembly, construction, or automotive experience preferred.
• Welding or brake-press experience beneficial but not required.

Responsibilities

• Install final truck components including shelving, slide trays, hose bed dividers, mud flaps, and other custom equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and work instructions.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment to complete installations.
• Operate equipment such as brake presses, plasma cutters, DA sanders, and various fabrication tools.
• Perform quality checks to ensure each vehicle meets company and customer specifications.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure projects are completed safely, accurately, and on schedule.
• Take pride in helping build some of the most dependable emergency vehicles in the industry.

Location: Lyons, SD

Pay: $20.00-$23.00/hour

Hours: Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM - 3:30 PM

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
