Job summary

Wayne Farms in Alabama seeks an entry loader to unload incoming ingredient trucks and place materials into correct bins, maximizing space and maintaining order. You will perform housekeeping, basic equipment maintenance, and quality checks, while preventing loss and ensuring trucks leave empty.

You will follow FSMA, GMP and QC procedures daily. Responsibilities include operating auto-receiving, inspecting materials, sampling per plan, documenting paperwork, rotating stock, and coordinating

Responsibilities

• Operate auto-receiving system.
• Unload incoming trucks.

• Ensure bins and storage areas do not overflow.
• Complete and maintain appropriate paperwork and reports.
• Rotate stock.
• Coordinate batching schedule and production with appropriate personnel to maximize efficiency.
• Perform preventive maintenance and cleaning of equipment.
• Communicate equipment malfunctions to appropriate personnel.
• Perform routine housekeeping ensuring designated areas are kept clean.
• Operate forklift as necessary.
• Comply with all company policies, FSMA regulations, and local, state and federal laws.

Required Skills

Preferred Education And Experience

• Previous feed mill experience.

Safety Requirements

• Follow departmental and company safety policies and programs.
• Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays and extended shift hours.
• Frequently stoop, kneel, crawl and bend.
• Frequently climb stairs and 50+ foot ladders.
• Ability to lift and carry 50 - 100 lbs.
• Ability to work in confined spaces.
• Constantly subject to dusty, hot environments.
• Frequently work in loud environment requiring ear protection.
• Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts.
• Ability to work at heights of 200+ ft.
• Ability to operate a pallet jack with 2,000+ lbs. of material.
