Job summary

Wayne Farms in Hazlehurst, MS is seeking a production associate to mix micro ingredients per formulas, stage materials, and support quality checks while maintaining clean, organized work areas.

The role requires basic math, operation of batching and routing equipment, adherence to safety policies, and the ability to work nights and weekends in a dusty, loud environment. Prior feed mill experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform basic math functions (percentages, area, volume).

Responsibilities

• Mix and route feed according to formulas, procedures and schedule utilizing batching controller, mixing equipment, routing equipment, destination bins and downstream operations.
• Communicate and coordinate batching schedule and production with appropriate personnel maximizing efficiency while following FDA, GMP and QC procedures.
• Accurately complete and maintain assigned reports, logs and documents in a neat and orderly manner.
• Monitor and adjust equipment accordingly.
• Use proper operating parameters and equipment settings to effectively deliver a high quality product.
• Perform preventive maintenance and cleaning of equipment.
• Communicate equipment malfunctions to appropriate personnel.
• Perform routine housekeeping ensuring designated areas are kept clean.
• Comply with all company policies, FSMA regulations, and local, state and federal laws, and regulations.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

In addition, will perform housekeeping activities, maintenance and repair of equipment, and quality checks on ingredients. Also responsible for preventing theft or loss of product ensuring trucks leave empty. Responsible for compliance with all company policies, FSMA regulations, and local, state and federal policies, laws and regulations.

• Constantly subject to dusty, hot environments.
• Frequently work in loud environment requiring ear protection.
