Job summary

Advocate Health’s Oshkosh/Fond du Lac campus is seeking a Facilities Technician to join the Facilities team. The role focuses on preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of medical and building systems, with a first-shift schedule and on-call rotation as needed.

Responsibilities include CMMS documentation, emergency response, and ensuring safety and compliance across mechanical and electrical components. Requires a high school diploma and 2–4 years of maintenance experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• 2-4 years of experience in equipment maintenance.
• Basic computer skills such as CMMS, building automation system, Microsoft Office.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs facility and equipment maintenance in accordance with applicable codes and standards.
• Documents through CMMS.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical equipment such as motors, pumps, conveyors, doors, fans, boilers, heat exchangers, controls.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair patient care equipment such as beds, wheelchairs, carts, tables.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical/electrical systems like HVAC, refrigeration, fire doors, plumbing, gas systems.
• Respond to emergencies such as leaks, floods, power outages, equipment failures.
• Respond to building occupant requests in a timely manner.
• Reads blueprints and maintenance manuals to complete assignments.
