Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician for Fond du Lac Campus, Wisconsin. This full-time role involves 1st shift hours (6:00am - 4:30pm, Tue-Fri, 10-hour shifts) with occasional weekend/holiday rotation and on-call duties.

The position requires a valid driver’s license and a high school diploma or GED. Responsibilities include maintenance of mechanical and patient care equipment, reading blueprints, performing preventive checks, and coordinating with stakeholders to

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Basic computer skills such as CMMS, building automation system, Microsoft Office.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs facility and equipment maintenance in accordance with applicable codes and standards. Documents through CMMS.
• Maintain, troubleshoot and repair mechanical equipment such as motors, pumps, conveyors, doors, fans, boilers, heat exchangers, controls with guidance.
• Maintain, troubleshoot and repair patient care equipment such as beds, wheelchairs, carts, tables not maintained by other departments.
• Maintain, troubleshoot and repair HVAC, refrigeration, water systems, electrical, plumbing and gas systems with defined parameters and moderate guidance.
• Perform routine to moderately complex general maintenance in grounds, carpentry, painting and snow removal.
• Respond to emergencies such as leaks, floods, power outages and equipment failures as directed or per plan.
• Communicate with occupants and update on corrective actions and service requests.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and safety checks on equipment.
• Inspect and repair fire doors, hardware, firewalls and smoke partitions.
• Read blueprints and manuals to gain knowledge needed for assignments.
