Job summary

DSV is seeking a Facility Specialist, Maintenance on the 1st shift to ensure safe and efficient operation of our facility. You will perform preventative maintenance, simple repairs, and operate material handling and support equipment.

Candidates should have a GED or high school diploma and at least one year of maintenance experience, with forklift certification. You will support multiple building systems and collaborate with site management to maintain safety and reliability in a fast-paced

Qualifications

Must have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Must have at least one year of general facilities, systems maintenance, and repair work experience and/or other training; will consider an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
Must be able to work in unregulated temperatures within the warehouse during the warmer and colder months can range from mild to moderate
Satisfactory completion of a forklift training program
Basic reading and writing skills.
Ability to troubleshoot general maintenance and service problems.
Ability to read and follow manufacturer's instruction manuals.

Responsibilities

Maintain the condition of the building and equipment, perform general maintenance and simple repairs in plumbing, carpentry, painting, mechanical, electrical, or custodial areas.
Execute and maintain preventative maintenance systems for the building and equipment, including routine inspections of material handling equipment, heating, cooling, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
Inspect, diagnose, and repair building and equipment; ensure daily operation of all building and material handling equipment; report problems.
Identify and correct safety hazards; ensure a safe work site when conducting repairs or maintenance.
Assist in identifying problem sources and provide recommendations; perform emergency repairs as needed.
Operate equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, scrubbers, and lifts; maintain forklift certification.
Perform grounds maintenance as assigned.
Adhere to safety, housekeeping, and compliance standards and procedures.
