Job summary

CMI Group – Systems 3 in Tempe, AZ is seeking an experienced CNC Mill Machinist (1st shift) to set up and operate CNC mill centers for high-precision aerospace components. You will verify part quality, troubleshoot issues, and optimize setups, tooling, and cycle times in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of CNC mill experience, reads GD&T, and can load/edit CNC programs. U.S. citizenship or permanent status is required. Competitive wages and benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of CNC mill setup and operation experience in a precision manufacturing environment.
• Experience machining close-tolerance components.
• Ability to independently perform complete machine setups and read engineering drawings with GD&T.
• Experience loading, verifying, and editing CNC programs.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC milling machines to manufacture precision parts per engineering specs.
• Produce components meeting tight tolerances and aerospace quality requirements.
• Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, routings and customer specs.
• Load, verify, and edit CNC programs as needed for accuracy.
• Set and adjust tooling, offsets, and feeds/speeds to maintain accuracy.
• Perform first-piece setup verification and in-process inspections with precision instruments.
