Job summary

CMI Group is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist for its Aerospace & Defense manufacturing operations in Phoenix, AZ. The role requires experience on CNC lathes and mills, working with Fanuc controls, and a solid grasp of GD&T and inspection techniques.

You will set up tooling, input programs, verify output against specifications, and perform routine maintenance while maintaining a clean, organized work area. U.S. citizenship or permanent status is required for security clearance considerations.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience running CNC lathes or mills.
• Clear understanding of G & M codes for Fanuc programming.
• Strong GD&T knowledge and industry inspection standards.
• Ability to stand for long shift and work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machines on proven production jobs with minimal oversight.
• Set up tooling, load programs, and verify correct operation and revisions.
• Read drawings and GD&T tolerances to ensure part feature accuracy.
• Perform daily machine maintenance and keep a clean workspace.
• Record inspection data and use proper paperwork for QC and MOT.
• Communicate issues to leads and participate in safe, compliant operations.
