Job summary

New Flyer is seeking a Cell Leader for the 1st shift to guide a dedicated production team in building high-quality transit buses. You will drive safety, lean improvements, and continuous development while maintaining a positive, collaborative work environment.

You will lead daily stand‑ups, coordinate staffing and training, and ensure compliance with quality and safety standards. This role requires hands‑on leadership and strong cross‑department collaboration.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of supervisory experience in manufacturing.
• Strong leadership and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
• Experience using data to drive production decisions and lean thinking.

Responsibilities

• Lead a dedicated production cell on the 1st shift to meet targets.
• Champion safety regulations and conduct training.
• Apply lean manufacturing principles to improve OPEX and efficiency.
• Oversee quality control and ensure first-time quality.
• Run daily stand‑up meetings to review goals and actions.
• Coordinate staffing, overtime, and training within the cell.
• Collaborate with QA, Engineering, and HR to address challenges.
• Support collective bargaining agreement compliance in operations.
