Job summary

New Flyer is seeking Production Assembly Workers to perform assemblies and installations on heavy-duty transit buses on the production line. Two shifts are available, with potential overtime and Saturday coverage to meet production goals.

Responsibilities include reading blueprints and instructions, assembling parts, and ensuring quality while maintaining a clean, safe workspace. Physical lifting and standing for long periods are required; teamwork and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Ability to use small hand and power tools repetitively with measuring equipment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to read and follow intermediate measurements.
• Team player, self-starter and able to work in a team setting.
• Good communication, ability to work with little supervision and strong time management.
• Able to lift at least 50 lbs; frequent bending, overhead work and occasional ladder use.

Responsibilities

• Performs installations and assemblies on the production line within a designated area.
• Prepares work by reviewing instructions, blueprints, parts lists, and materials.
• Ensures quality and consistency of work within the area.
• Builds to specifications using blueprints, process sheets, and written instructions; uses measurement tools.
• Uses hand and air tools; aware of potential exposure to vibration and moving parts.
• Lifts up to 50 lbs occasionally and stands for extended periods to meet schedules.
• Maintains a clean, safe workstation and adheres to safety protocols.
