Job summary

BAMSI is seeking a Residential Counselor in Stoughton, MA to provide rehabilitative support to adults in Group Living Environments, teaching ADLs and promoting daily living skills for community integration.

Applicants should have MAP certification, a valid driver’s license, and strong communication skills; training and growth opportunities are offered, including MAP certification support.

Qualifications

• MAP (Medication Administration Program) certification is required.
• Teach ADLs (cooking, budgeting, medication management) and socialization skills.
• Implement Treatment Plans and behavioral interventions under clinician guidance.
• Administer/supervise medications by MAP guidelines and document care.
• Transport residents to appointments and community activities.
• Advocate for residents’ needs and model healthy coping strategies.
• Maintain a safe, clean home environment and complete timely documentation.
• High school diploma/GED; direct care experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to assist with mobility.
• Strong communication skills (English) and basic computer proficiency.
• Compassion, patience, and commitment to trauma‑informed care.
• Bonus: Lived experience or multilingual abilities (e.g., Spanish, Portuguese).
