Job summary

BAMSI in Attleboro, MA is seeking a Residential Counselor for MAP services. The role provides rehabilitative support to adults in group living environments, focusing on daily living skills and community integration.

Working 40 hours weekly with a Tue-Fri 11pm-9am schedule, you will implement treatment plans under clinical guidance and assist with medications per MAP guidelines. Minimum requirements include a high school diploma, MAP certification within 3 months of starting, a valid driver's

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; mental health experience preferred.
• MAP certification required; must be MAP certified within 3 months of starting.
• Valid driver's license and ability to assist with mobility.
• Strong communication skills in English and basic computer proficiency.
• Compassion, patience and a commitment to trauma-informed care.
• Bonus: lived experience or multilingual abilities.

Responsibilities

• Teach ADLs (cooking, budgeting, medication management) and socialization skills.
• Implement Treatment Plans and behavioral interventions under clinician guidance.
• Administer/supervise medications per MAP guidelines and document care.
• Transport residents to appointments and community activities.
• Advocate for residents' needs and model healthy coping strategies.
• Maintain a safe, clean home environment and complete timely documentation.
