Job summary

BAMSI in Brockton, MA is seeking a Residential Counselor - MAP to support residents in daily living, skills development, and community integration.

You will teach ADLs (cooking, budgeting, medication management) and carry out treatment plans under clinician guidance; administer medications per MAP guidelines. This role emphasizes advocacy, safety, and trauma-informed care, with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• MAP certification required within 3 months of hire.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Strong English communication and basic computer skills.
• Trauma-informed care experience or training preferred.

Responsibilities

Pay Range: $20 - $23.75

Schedule: (30 hrs): Mon-Fri: 9a-3p

What You Bring:

• High school diploma/GED; mental health experience preferred.
• MAP (Medication Administration Program) certification is required for this position. Candidates without current certification must be willing to complete employer-provided training and successfully obtain certification within 3 months
• Valid driver’s license and ability to assist with mobility (bending, standing, etc.).
• Strong communication skills (English) and basic computer proficiency.
• Compassion, patience, and a commitment to trauma-informed care.
• Bonus: Lived experience or multilingual abilities (e.g., Spanish, Portuguese).
