The RN will lead the care team on the unit, ensure safety, document care accurately, and participate in ongoing evaluation of patient outcomes. Rehabilitation and education duties are included.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Associate’s Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Current license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State.
• BLS, ACLS, and specialized certifications as needed.

Responsabilités

• Assesses patient physiologic health status using nursing process.
• Collaborates with physicians and health team in planning and implementing care.
• Leads care coordination and directs/delegates unit activities.
• Assesses psychosocial health status and patient education needs.
• Develops and documents care plans, outcomes, and discharge instructions.
• Evaluates care effectiveness and participates in quality improvement.
