Job summary

Northwell Health is seeking an experienced registered nurse for a 13-week contract to provide comprehensive bedside care across physiologic and psychosocial domains. You will assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care while collaborating with physicians and health team members.

Required BLS, ACLS, intermediate AWHONN and advanced NRP certifications, plus 1–2 years of relevant nursing experience. Strong leadership and documentation skills are essential to ensure quality patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Associate’s Degree in Nursing required.
• Current NYS/CT license to practice as a Registered Nurse.
• BLS required, plus specialized certifications as needed.
• 1–2 years of professional nursing experience in the related specialty.

Responsibilities

• Assesses the patient’s physiologic health status and documents findings.
• Assesses the patient’s psychosocial health status and support needs.
• Identifies patient outcomes and develops goals with plans.
• Formulates and prioritizes the plan of care to achieve outcomes.
• Implements the plan and administers prescribed treatments and procedures.
• Evaluates care effectiveness and patient outcomes.
• Collaborates with physicians and care team members in planning and carrying out treatment.
• Performs grade I-IV Decubitus care and skin care procedures.
• Administers medications correctly and safely.
• Educates patient and family about condition, care plan and discharge.
• Performs related duties as required.
