Job summary

Northwell Health is seeking a registered nurse for a 13-week assignment in New York. You will provide age-specific nursing care using the full nursing process and collaborate with physicians and the health care team to coordinate procedures and treatments.

You will lead in planning, implementation, and evaluation of care, assess physiologic and psychosocial health, monitor outcomes, and guide discharge planning. A NY or CT RN license and BLS/NRP credentials are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Currently licensed as a Registered Professional Nurse in NY and/or CT.
• BLS required; additional certifications as needed.

Responsibilities

• Performs an age-specific plan of care using the nursing process.
• Collaborates with physicians and health team members to coordinate procedures and treatments.
• Assesses physiologic health status and pain, documents care plan and outcomes.
• Develops and implements a care plan, prioritizes activities and coordinates resources.
• Monitors patient status, revises care plan, and communicates with family and team.
• Evaluates care effectiveness and participates in discharge planning.
