Job summary

Amcor is seeking a Supervisor to oversee shift production employees and equipment in the Custom Films Division. You will supervise, train, evaluate and perform daily production records, forecasting equipment usage and handling administrative duties.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a high demand, team oriented, and fast-paced environment.
• Able to obtain Berry Global forklift license.

Responsibilities

• Prepares jobs for production;
• Replaces broken or worn-out hand equipment and ensures PPE availability.
• Must be willing to work twelve-hour shifts and overtime when needed.
• Oversees the training, upgrading, evaluation and performance reviews of shift personnel.
• Performs administrative duties including personnel forms and reports; maintains shift safety program.
• Maintains quality and production, making decisions to maximize rates with high quality.
• Coordinates with Maintenance for scheduled shutdowns and repairs to minimize losses.
• Inspects lines and ensures product runs to specifications; takes corrective action.
• Closes out production work orders and records production daily; forecasts equipment usage.
• Assigns personnel to production lines and ensures meeting production, quality and quantity standards.
• Organizes work for smooth operations; ensures proper set-ups and quality checks.
• Trains operators on quality checks, gauges and measurements; follows up on production.
