Job summary

Penn Hills Charter School of Entrepreneurship is seeking a Special Education Teacher to instruct and support students with a range of mental, physical, emotional, and learning needs. You will collaborate with classroom teachers in an inclusion model to drive student success and develop IEPs with PA/state compliance.

The role emphasizes strong knowledge of Pennsylvania standards, IDEA, and data-driven progress monitoring, with responsibilities including PBIS-aligned classroom practice and ongoing

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Education is required.
• Active PA K-8 Special Education certification is required.
• Additional PA Certifications are preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of Pennsylvania State Standards and Common Core.

Responsibilities

• Design coherent instruction and student assessments.
• Develop IEPs and related documentation in compliance with PA/IDEA.
• Coordinate IEP data analysis and portfolio maintenance.
• Engage in progress monitoring and progress reports for caseload.
• Collaborate with teachers in an inclusion model to support student success.
• Maintain records in compliance with FERPA and IDEA.
