Job summary

MaST Community Charter School is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher for 10th grade. You will design and deliver instruction for students with varied abilities, align curricula with state standards, and collaborate with staff on IEP goals and accommodations.

The role requires strong leadership, effective communication with families, and the ability to use technology to enhance learning. This is a full-time position with 10-month terms under the MaST Schools network.

Qualifications

• B.A./B.S. in Education is required.
• Pennsylvania Teaching Certificate in the appropriate content area.
• Knowledge of curriculum design, instruction methods, and assessment.
• Strong knowledge of special education law, writing IEPs, and implementing supports.
• Ability to develop behavior management plans and collaborate with general educators.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct a balanced program of instruction for special education students.
• Instruct individually and in groups using diverse teaching methods.
• Establish clear objectives for lessons and communicate them to students.
• Adapt materials to meet diverse needs and interests.
• Maintain accurate student records and progress toward IEP goals.
• Lead or supervise instructional assistants and volunteers as assigned.
• Incorporate technology and STREAM concepts into daily lessons.
