Speech Language Pathologist

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with families, doctors, and other professionals to evaluate needs, develop personalized treatment plans, and track progress.
  • Use the Coaching Model to implement creative coaching strategies that let families take the lead in their child’s development.
  • Provide trauma‑informed care, creating a safe and supportive environment for families.

Salary

Salary Range: $81,910.00 – $93,870.00

  • 1.00/hr, 2 years previous experience
  • 0.75/hr, bilingual
  • Up to 4.00/hr, tenure with BTCS
Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A degree in Speech Therapy from an accredited college or university and current licensure to practice speech therapy in Texas.
  • Valid Texas driver’s license and maintenance of approved driver’s status throughout employment.
  • Knowledge of and experience working with infants and toddlers with developmental needs.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Preferably, 1+ years of experience providing Speech therapy to young children and coaching families.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of typical and atypical development in children birth to three years old.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of childhood conditions that relate to the provision of early intervention services.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of and understanding of team and family dynamics.
  • Ability to contribute as a leader and facilitator on teams that include parents, caregivers, and other professional staff.
  • Ability to perform under minimal supervision with considerable initiative, discretion, independent thought, judgment, and self‑motivation in matters of significance to families and the agency.
  • Well‑developed interpersonal skills, oral and written communication skills, time management/organization skills, and basic computer skills.
  • Ability to comprehend and adhere to family‑centered, activity‑based early intervention practices.
  • Preferred: Ability to read, write, and communicate in Spanish.
