Job summary

North Texas Therapy & Home Care is seeking a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to provide in-home therapy for pediatric clients aged 0-21. You will assess, diagnose, and treat communication, swallowing, and related disorders, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to set goals and plan interventions.

The role requires a master's in Speech-Language Pathology, CCC-SLP, Texas licensure, and pediatric/home health experience.

Qualifications

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited college or University.
  • CCC-SLP certification and successful Clinical Fellowship year.
  • Licensure to practice Speech-Language Pathology in Texas.
  • Experience in pediatrics required.
  • Home health experience preferred.
  • Bilingual in Spanish.

Responsibilities

  • Provide skilled speech therapy services in the home or daytime facility for patients 0-21 years old, 2+ times per week, per physician orders.
  • Define patients' degree and type of speech, language, voice, and related impairments using appropriate testing instruments.
  • Interpret diagnostic data and prepare written reports.
  • Collaborate with the multi-disciplinary team to plan goals and advise/educate staff on therapy modalities.
  • Modify care plans to meet therapy goals and educate staff and caregivers through training materials.
  • Possible supervision of Clinical Fellows or Assistants with 3+ years of experience.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide skilled speech therapy services in the home or daytime facility of patients 0-21 years of age, 2 or more times per week, in accordance with physician orders
  • Define patients degree and type of speech, language, voice, oral-motor, swallowing, feeding, auditory processing, and/or fluency impairment(s) by selecting and administering the most appropriate testing instruments
  • Interpret diagnostic data and prepare written diagnostic reports
  • In collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team, plan and evaluate team goals for each patient as well as advise, consult, and instruct team in specific speech therapy modalities and interventions
  • Plan for and modify care to meet goals of speech therapy interventions
  • Educate staff, caregivers, and patients by designing and delivering training, printed material/resources and in-service programs in accordance with a total speech therapy program
  • May provide supervision to Clinical Fellows of Speech Pathology and/or Speech-Language Pathology Assistants if you possess three or more years of experience
