Job summary

YAI - Seeing beyond disability in New York is seeking a supervisory role to manage 1:1 Teacher Aide staff and ensure classrooms run smoothly. You will organize schedules, monitor performance, and coordinate with educational leadership to support students and staff.

The position requires experience in school support roles, familiarity with Workday, and a strong commitment to confidentiality and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must be well-organized with attention to detail and able to manage multiple priorities.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook and Workday HCM system.

Responsibilities

• Directs 1:1 Teacher Aide staff to meet school operations and classroom needs.
• Enforces policies and addresses performance issues with supervisor guidance.
• Participates in interview, selection, and placement for aides and provides feedback.
• Creates staff schedules to ensure coverage for students in classrooms and related activities.
• Ensures timekeeping in Workday and resolves attendance/time-tracking concerns.
• Conducts regular check-ins and observations, providing coaching and development notes.
• Maintains HIPAA compliance and protects confidentiality of student data.
• Performs duties of 1:1 Aide when needed and supports feeding or related tasks.
