Job summary

Windham Public Schools is seeking a dedicated classroom assistant to support students with physical, mental, or educational disadvantages. You will work under the supervision of the classroom teacher to help students learn skills and participate in activities.

You will collaborate with teachers on IEP goals, assist with mobility and classroom tasks, maintain records, and communicate with parents about student progress.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the classroom teacher and students with classwork and activities.

  • Provide escort and mobility assistance to students as needed.
  • Maintain student records and progress data.
  • Prepare class materials and assist with lesson plans.
  • Communicate with parents about student progress.
  • Assist during recess, field trips, and emergencies.
