Job summary

Osseo Area Schools is seeking an Educational Support Professional (ESP) to work 1:1 with a student in a Resource Special Education setting. You will support academic, social, and emotional development throughout the school day under the guidance of the special education teacher.

The role is part-time (6 hours per day for the school year) with responsibilities including implementing IEP accommodations, collaborating with teachers, and ensuring a safe learning environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualification includes a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• HQ requirement: two years of college or an associate's degree, or ParaPro/ParaEducator/ParaPathwaysAssessment with district-paid assessment.

Responsibilities

• Provide tailored 1:1 support to assist the student with learning activities, routines, and behavior management.
• Implement accommodations and modifications per the student’s IEP.
• Collaborate with Special Education and classroom staff to ensure consistency and progress.
• Support the student in meeting individualized academic and functional goals.
• Maintain a safe, inclusive learning environment and participate in district training.
