Cincinnati Public Schools (CPS) is hiring a Paraprofessional for Special Needs with 1:1/units support at Mt. Airy Elementary School in Cincinnati, OH. Salary is $21.85 per hour under AFSCME contract, with a school-year schedule of seven hours daily.

The role reports to the building principal and involves assisting certified staff, supervising students, and reinforcing instructional activities for students with disabilities or special needs. Immediate starting date is required.

Formación

• Associate's Degree or higher.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Passing of the Parapro Assessment examination as required by the No Child Left Behind Act.
• Prior experience working with children desirable.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain an Educational Aide Permit issued by the State of Ohio

Responsabilidades

• Assist students under supervision to reinforce reading, language arts, mathematics and other skills.
• Work with students individually and in small groups to reinforce learning.
• Assist in administering and correcting classroom exercises and assessments.
• Prepare materials and reinforce instructional materials for individual student needs.
• Record student learning and performance data.
• Support classroom behavioral management to maintain safe, orderly environment.
• Supervise non-instructional areas (lunch, bus, playground, study hall).
• Accompany students on field trips to provide supervision.
