Job summary

Cincinnati Public Schools, Cincinnati, Ohio, is seeking a Paraprofessional (Special Needs/1:1/Units) to support students under the supervision of a certified staff member. This role focuses on assisting with instructional goals and maintaining a safe, orderly classroom environment.

Responsibilities include reinforcing learning in reading and math, supervising non-instructional activities, and helping prepare materials while documenting student progress.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or higher preferred.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Passing the Parapro Assessment is required by law.
• Must obtain/maintain Ohio Educational Aide Permit.
• Experience with children is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist certified staff to meet instructional goals.
• Support students individually and in small groups.
• Reinforce reading, language arts, math, and computer skills.
• Assist with assessments and classroom materials.
• Supervise non-instructional areas (lunch, bus, play).
