Job summary

Cincinnati Public Schools is seeking a Paraprofessional (Special Needs/1:1/Units) at Cincinnati Public Schools Taft HS in Cincinnati, Ohio. The role provides day-to-day student support under supervision of certified staff to meet instructional goals and free professionals for other duties.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or higher.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Passing of the Parapro Assessment examination as required by the No Child Left Behind Act.
• Prior experience working with children desirable.
• Educational Aide Permit issued by the State of Ohio.

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively, problem solve and work independently.
• Assist and guide students to reinforce reading, language arts, mathematics, computer instruction, and other skills.
• Work with students individually and in small groups to reinforce basic learning and implement programs.
• Assist in administration and correction of classroom exercises, tests and assessments.
• Prepare and reinforce instructional materials according to individual student needs.
• Maintain documentation of student learning and performance.
