Job summary

Cincinnati Public Schools is seeking a Paraprofessional (Special Needs/1:1) to support students under the supervision of certified staff. This role involves assisting with reading, language arts, math, computer instruction, and other tasks to reinforce learning in a classroom setting.

Starting immediately, this is a school-year position with 7 hours daily and salary at $21.85 per hour under the AFSCME contract. Applications are welcome from the public in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Qualifications

• Paraprofessional duties in special needs/1:1/units.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Parapro Assessment per NCLB.
• Educational Aide Permit issued by the State of Ohio required.
• Experience with children desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist certified staff in meeting instructional goals.
• Support students individually or in small groups.
• Assist with records of student learning and performance.
• Support classroom management and safety procedures.
• Assist with non-instructional areas (lunch, bus, playground, etc.).
• Participate in field trips to supervise students.
