Job summary

Cincinnati Public Schools in Cincinnati, OH is seeking a Paraprofessional (Special Needs/1:1/Units) to support certified staff and students under supervision. Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or higher.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Passing of the Parapro Assessment examination as required by the No Child Left Behind Act.
• Prior experience working with children desirable.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain an Educational Aide Permit issued by the State of Ohio

Responsibilities

• Assist certified staff in classroom activities to meet instructional goals.
• Work with students individually and in small groups to reinforce learning.
• Assist in record-keeping and documentation of student progress.
• Support in non-instructional areas such as lunch, bus duty, playground, and hall supervision.
• Escort students on field trips and assist with safety and behavior management.
