Lexington County School District One seeks a One to One Assistant, Special Education, to support students with disabilities under IDEA. Under supervision of a certified teacher, you will assist with academic instruction, behavior support and daily living activities.

The role requires a high school diploma and either college hours, an associate degree, or a ParaPro/ParaPathways score; full-time, school-year position with Grade 8 salary scale.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• 60 semester hours at an accredited institution.
• Associate's degree (or higher).
• Passing score on the ParaPro or ParaPathways Assessment.

Responsabilités

• Supports instructional staff in providing services to students with disabilities.
• Assists with implementing IEP goals and objectives.
• Prepares instructional materials and supports classroom activities.
• Maintains confidentiality and follows district policies.
• Communicates progress with lead teacher.
• Assists with personal care and mobility needs as required.
