Job summary

Aa210 is seeking an Aide Special Education Student Specific 1 to 1 for the 2026-2027 school year. The role supports a identified student with disabilities to access curriculum in the least restrictive environment, under teacher guidance.

Responsibilities include safety-focused supervision, implementing behavior plans, assisting with lessons, logging progress, and maintaining confidentiality of student data.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 48 college hours or passing score on the Para Professional Assessment of Knowledge.
• Texas Educational Aide Certification preferred or required to obtain once hired.
• De-Escalation/Restraint Certification preferred or required to obtain once hired (district provided).
• Proficient in Windows OS and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Able to communicate information and ideas clearly, both verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Interact with identified student in multiple settings to ensure safety and engagement.
• Assist with classroom management and supervision of the identified student at all times.
• Implement behavioral strategies per ARD documents and teacher guidance.
• Support instructional activities and help prepare instructional materials.
• Record service delivery and collect data on student progress alongside the teacher.
• Maintain confidentiality of student information.
