Job summary

Lexington County School District One is seeking an Instructional Assistant, Special Education to work under the supervision of a certified teacher in a special services setting. The role focuses on providing physical, emotional and academic support to students with disabilities to help them gain maximum benefit from special education programs.

Under general supervision, you will assist with daily classroom activities, manage materials, support health programs, and help maintain a safe learning

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• 60 college credit hours or higher education.
• Associate's degree (or higher) preferred.
• Passing score on ParaPro or ParaPathways Assessment.

Responsibilities

• Interacts, communicates and collaborates with stakeholders effectively.
