Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Associate’s degree or 2 years of college coursework, or may pass district assessment.
• Two years of experience in special education or supporting individuals with disabilities (preferred).
• First Aid/CPR certification (or ability to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Support individualized instruction and behavior plans for students in special programs.
• Assist teachers with designing and reinforcing instructional strategies.
• Deliver or support academic and functional instruction in one-on-one and small groups.
• Assist with IEPs and participate in team/IEP meetings as appropriate.
• Provide instructional, behavioral, and social-emotional support across school and community environments.
• Support student transition and job coaching activities in community/work-based settings.
