Job summary

The Stepping Stones Group is seeking a Licensed Practice Nurse (LPN) for a contracted, school-based placement in Shawnee Mission, KS for the 26/27 school year. This is a part-time private duty role serving a student on bus rides to and from school (M-F 7:30am - 12:30pm).

You'll have clinical backing from experienced nurses and support from a team that understands school-based nursing — not just staffing.

Qualifications

• Active LPN license in Kansas is required.
• Current BLS CPR/AED certification is required.
• School-based nursing experience is highly preferred.
• Competence in pediatric care and chronic condition management is essential.

Responsibilities

• Maintain continuous observation of the student during the school day and bus rides.
• Support chronic condition management and assist with care plans and procedures.
• Provide first aid and medication administration.
• Document care and communicate with school teams.
• Accompany student during transportation and community activities as assigned.
• Report status changes to supervising RN and family.
