Job summary

Columbia Elementary School in Mukilteo, WA is seeking a 1:1 Paraeducator to support a student with medical needs. The 6.25-hour day runs 8:45 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., 180 days per year, with benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum WA state paraeducator qualifications.
• Experience with children, including those with special needs.
• Ability to support medical, behavioral and instructional needs.

Responsibilities

• Assist teacher with daily supervision to maintain a safe, positive learning environment.
• Administer tests, collect data, update records and assess progress.
• Monitor behavior and share observations with staff.
• Support diverse student needs and educational growth.
• Provide clerical help and prepare classroom materials.
• Administer first aid and medical assistance when needed.
• Assist with personal care and adaptive equipment requirements.
• Supervise crossing guard duties and recess supervision.
• Participate in trainings and comply with district policies.
• Maintain consistent presence and hours; flexible with reassignment.
