Job summary

Lancaster-Lebanon IU13 is seeking a personal care assistant / 1:1 paraprofessional to provide instructional, behavioral and personal care support under a classroom teacher and program supervisor.

The position is for a school year with possible termination based on student placement or needs; candidates must meet PA education/credential requirements and be willing to complete required staff development hours as outlined by the PA Department of Education.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• PA Paraeducator Credential of Competency Certificate or willingness to complete the free online program within 6 months.
• Completed a minimum of 48 post secondary credits in any content area.
• Completed associate degree or higher in any content area.
• Willing to complete 20 hours of staff development each school year and provide evidence annually.

Responsibilities

• Provide instructional, behavioral and personal care support as outlined in the student’s IEP.
• Work under the classroom teacher and program supervisor.
• Position is for a school year and may end earlier based on student placement or needs.

Education
