Job summary

ChanceLight Behavioral Health, Therapy, & Education is seeking an Instructional Aide 1:1 to support students in grades K-12. You will implement individualized instruction, assist with IEPs, and collaborate with teachers in a student-centered setting.

Starting rate is $22–$28 per hour, based on experience. Join a mission-driven team focused on empowering students to reach their full potential in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent w/ passage of basic skills test.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in education or a closely related field preferred.
• Licensed paraprofessional credential preferred.
• Ability to obtain crisis management training certification.
• Experience supporting children in special education or behavioral health settings.
• Experience with learners with autism, learning disabilities, or emotional-behavioral needs.
• Ability to act calmly and decisively in emergencies.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of instructional technology and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with classroom teachers to create a supportive learning environment.
• Implement individualized instruction and behavioral interventions on-site and in community settings.
• Instruct and monitor students during lessons with fidelity and apply targeted strategies.
• Track progress and communicate with teachers regarding student outcomes.
• Support and mentor students to develop community, vocational, leisure, and social skills.
• Maintain confidentiality of student records and observations.
• Complete documentation of behaviors and performance; assist with reports and logs.
• Communicate with students, families, and staff about needs and achievements.
• Participate in accreditation activities and school meetings.
• Contribute to continuous professional growth and take on additional responsibilities.
