Job summary

ChanceLight Behavioral Health, Therapy, & Education in Denver is seeking an Instructional Aide 1:1 to support a Grade 10 student with an individualized learning plan. The role entails direct, personalized instruction, and collaboration with teachers to implement IEP goals in classroom and community settings.

The position emphasizes patience, empathy, and strong communication. Starting pay ranges from $22.50 to $26 per hour, based on experience, with full-time hours and a mission-driven school

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent w/ passage of basic skills test.
• Associate degree or higher in education or related field preferred.
• Licensed paraprofessional/education credential preferred.
• Ability to obtain crisis management training certification.
• Experience with instruction/support for children; specialized settings preferred.
• Knowledge of learning disabilities, autism, and related disorders.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with teachers to create a supportive learning environment.
• Implement individualized instruction and behavioral interventions.
• Monitor and support students during lessons to ensure fidelity.
• Track progress and communicate with teachers on outcomes.
• Manage behavior consistently with school policies.
• Mentor students in academic and life skills.
• Document behaviors and performance; provide actionable observations.
• Prepare and file behavioral reports and activity logs.
• Communicate with students, families, and staff about needs and progress.
• Maintain confidentiality of student records.
