Job summary

ChanceLight Behavioral Health, Therapy, & Education is seeking an Instructional Aide to support students from K-12, working with teachers to implement IEPs and tailor instruction to individual needs. Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; basic skills test.
  • Associate degree or higher preferred in education or related field.
  • Credential such as paraprofessional/education assistant preferred.
  • Ability to obtain crisis management training certification.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with classroom teachers to foster a supportive learning environment.
  • Implement engaging, individualized instruction and behavioral interventions on-site and in community settings.
  • Monitor students during lessons, ensure fidelity, and apply targeted strategies for understanding and success.
  • Track student progress and communicate with teachers on needs and milestones.
  • Support and mentor students facing academic challenges; help develop community and social skills.
  • Document student behaviors and performance accurately, and provide actionable observations.
